MyAlaska Help Desk

MyAlaska is the portal through which citizens can access multiple State of Alaska services online through a single username and password.


The COVID-19 pandemic has driven a significant increase in the number of citizens choosing to access government services remotely via telephone or online. With telephone calls queuing, the MyAlaska Help Desk project has been urgently assessing ways in which we might deploy AI-driven technologies to deal with these increasing call volumes. This includes the addition of chatbot and machine learning functions to the MyAlaska Help Desk process to reduce waiting times and to improve the overall experience for those customers experiencing difficulty with their MyAlaska credentials.


The Office of Information Technology will coordinate with Departments with MyAlaska service entry points for FAQs and other information to include in scope, but this project does not impact the functionality of MyAlaska or its integration with Departmental systems.
